He had a pretty good rookie year and looked like a guy who was going to be a Pro Bowl talent. Then...he found that sticky icky.

I was thinking of him too. I remember hearing he'd show up at camp at like 220 lbs or some crazy thing and say he spent all off-season playing basketball, and he was 6'8"! Then just kinda disappeared and heard suspension but didn't seem like it was until years later you heard he failed all those drug tests. Had huge hopes for him, finally wash away the Antone Davis mess.

Sucked with Wayne Gandy and Todd Steussie coming off the boards right after and being fine left tackles for over a decade.

There were many times I watched the Eagles and walked away thinking Jerome Brown was better then Reggie White. The guy was just incredible. I remember one play where Emmitt Smith had this huge hole and Jerome arm tackled him with one arm and tossed him like a rag doll. Could a been one of the all time greats.

Havent seen Billy Sims mentioned yet.

A side note many thought Ricky Bell was gonna be special before he died.
