We will likely be outbid if other teams like him, but Huntington said that he likes him so we will likely put in a legitimate offer after his pro showcase next month.

Pittsburgh has done a pretty decent job in the international market, but I don't know if you can consider Cuban players in the same realm as you would a traditional international player as teams have known some of those players since their pre-teen years. He did put on a nice showcase in the World Baseball Classic, which probably didn't hurt his stock any.

I'd be shocked to see Pittsburgh spend $50 million plus on a player like Abreu, but it'd be neat to see them in on the talks at least.

My bet is the Rangers will throw a 5 year $60m deal at him.

Highly doubt that we will be seeing him in the Burgh. But it is nice to see the Bucs at least being open to splashing some cash to improve the team.

He's gonna cash in on the Puig gravy-train. Can't the Pirates paying him that much money. It's hard to scout hitters too against inferior competition too. A pitcher would be a little easier to invest in since there are some independent ways to measure their transition from league to league.

Yeah he will get a big pay check due to Puig. Now will his bat make up for the poor fundementals that seem to be plaguing Puig right now?
