Cole vs Haren is interesting for Gm1.

And Ethier is a CF'er now?

Cole's velocity seems to be up lately. That might not be completely accurate, but it seems that way to me.

Pedro definitely looks more comfortable in the 6th spot.

Jay Hay with another RBI.

Barmes with a multi-hit game!

And wasn't Ethier a CF when he first came up?

Seems like he played some in the minors, but not exclusively, and didn't play any innings in the majors until 2012.

Strangely enough he has become a better defensive player as he has aged.

I guess I thought he had been a center fielder based on how good an outfielder he's been in recent years.

BTW, did you see where Pedro's ball went out? I was watching that boring ass Rags game, and missed it.

429 feet right down the right field line, more or less. Hit the back wall of the bullpen.

Maybe not right down the line, but it wasn't terribly far off it.

It was apparently his first home run to straightaway right field this year, too.

Nice, that's a poke. If he got hot this weekend, it would do wonders.

Lol at the batflip for a warning track gap shot.

Agreed on Alvarez.

As for Puig, Daniel Descalso always batflips, not matter where he hits the ball.

The Dodgers are deep with bats. Puig and Ramirez both hit very good pitches (97 on the edge for both) very hard.

Lol, never noticed Descalso.

I don't like this back and forth run scoring stuff, doesn't play to the Pirates advantage.

Bad effort holding runners so far tonight.

Cole's got to get better at holding runners. Runners get massive jumps on him.

I was looking for video, and I couldn't find any. Maybe it wasn't Descalso who did it all the time. I remember some Cardinal bench guy doing it last year, though, on opposite field slap singles.

Well they have like 4 guys who look exactly the same, I get them confused too; Descalso, Carptenter, and Kozma I think there was one more last year.
