Why are the Tigers only 23-22?
They're pitching is God awful.

Absolutely atrocious. Pathetic. Embarrassing. It's bad.

Also have four guys on the roster hitting below .200. And another(who hasn't played in this series) who leads the league in Ks.

Miggy wasn't on fire until a week ago, that didn't help. And Anthony Gose was starting in center (hitting something like .205, with bad base running and worse defense.) while Maybin and his nearly .600 average had spent the season on the DL, until last week. Until Wednesday or so, the best hitter in the lineup all year had been hitting seventh nearly every game. (Nicky C.)

VMart can't play a position to save his life, and there had been a few interleague series on the road.

I'll be happy if they somehow win 85 games tbh.

@WestCoastPhan the Twins are the only reason Detroit isn't under .500 and in last.

Outside of the fast start due to solid pitching by the youngsters and getting to see rookie Tommy Joseph this season is/will be kind of "meh" for the Phillies. Most of the action is in the minors. I'm just hoping Omar can liven things up by trying that Mexican place today

I'm getting tired of Wilmington. You're a Jersey guy- does Camden have any run down ethnic places?

Camden is full of rundown places. Take two body guards if you go.

would love to see Nola have a really great start today, against a pretty potent AL lineup in Detroit

id take something similar to what Hellickson gave team yesterday......7 IP, with no more than 3 ER

I see what you mean. Tigers ERA is 4.42, BA is .267, vs Phils 3.70 ERA, but pathetic .234 BA. We're looking for some payback today. By the way, if the Tigers need a backup DH, we have Howard fully available for a good prospect to help with our rebuild.:D
