This is real good early season test of the young Phillies pitching staff. The Cards are batting .270/.346 with 35 homers vs the Phils pathetic .220/298 and 21 homers.
On the other side, the Cards staff has a 4.03 ERA with 187 Ks vs the almost brilliant Phils currently toting a 3.27 ERA and 254 Ks. Of course, it was only fair that I remove the poor contributions of lamers Stumpf and Russell which added .4 to the team ERA.
Tonight, it's Hellickson, 2-1, 3.81, vs old man Wainwright, 1-3, 7.16. Hey, let's get excited for a preview of this years NLCS. Go Phillies! You can't beat optimism!
