They could have made a movie out of that inning with John Candy and Steve Martin stuck in Chicago

Wow, Freddy Galvis is great. Look at him run down the line when his team is down 7 runs. What a role model

Also Howard appears to be marching toward his 2nd MVP award, only 10 years after his first

We added 2 more runs but then gave up 6 runs :L. We are now in football score territory, a category I thought we would have eradicated but obviously not! Methinks getting rid of Giles was a mistake.

A closer can always be bought... They sold giles as they knew we wouldn't be close to competing. Paitence... we got 160 games left...

and bad swing Ruff.

How I feel right now...

It will be 10 years before find another guy like Ken Giles - 25, 2 yrs, 9-4, 1.56, 116 inns, 151 K, 34 BB. Salary $500K, Arb Eligible in a few years. Earliest Free Agent, about 2021.

You get 5 pitchers for a proven hard-throwing superstar, you know it's mostly garbage. Thanks Matt. Amaro could have done that good. Valesquez may be the only worthwhile piece.

Gave it a gallant effort but once again we have huge problems that continue to kill us. This time it was pitching.

So if we had Giles, we might win 68 games this year instead of 66

The SP staff and the team may come together in less that 3 years. That's my point. I know what they say, we can buy a closer when we need one. I'd rather have an experienced Giles, and buy an outfielder and another SP.
