Islanders Advance to Second Round



I know the QMJHL is pretty weak defensively, but holy shit! 3 goals and 6 assists in six games! Sprong is real good. Another promising young player from the supposedly weak depth of the Penguins organization.

Kind of crazy, but the top rated North American goalie plays in the QMJHL this year...

Funny to look on that list tho, and 2 of the 25 top rated are also from the QMJHL. Which speaks to what we were discussing about that league earlier this season, and there just isn't an emphasis put on defense.

It's good to see that Sprong carried his good play over from his time back in junior. He has 3 goals in 3 games in the AHL playoffs, so far. The Pens are stocked well with players for the bottom six. Wilson, Rust, Sheary, Kuhnhackl, Sprong, Sundqvist ...

I really liked Zachary Fucale from the Halifax Mooseheads a few years back. That Mooseheads team played like an OHL team tho.

How have you been @evolver115 ? It's been a long time. I noticed the 30 the first time Murray played wishing him the same success as another 30 He's been really impressive seems like a stand up kid great goalie and very humble

Doing good Clarkson! How about you? Glad to see ya around these parts. I figured you'd be a fan of Murray's # for obvious reasons. If Murray can have even a quarter of the success that Marty had for your Devils, well that's going to make some Penguins fans very happy One can hope

I've been doing good.I also enjoyed the way he started off his playoff career Always happy to see the rags get smoked. Hoping to see them kill the caps series next game The goalie mask article was great. Its always good to see young players especially goalies. Showing an appreciation for the game and its history. Murray shows A lot of character to go along with that skill set. I have to say I'm impressed

So far two rookies are doing great in the WBS playoffs:
Jake Guentzel - 3g 5a 8 pts
Daniel Sprong - 5g 1a 6pts

Nice seeing young talent do well and keeps the future even brighter for the Penguins.

This is an awesome doc on Geno! It is in russian, but there is closed captioning on the player. Malkin speaks the English language very well these days, but there always seems to be a language barrier with getting to know him. This gives a pretty great way to see him be himself in his native language.

Yup, if a girl walks down the street, looks over her shoulder and sees someone approaching her in an aggressive manner, then it's her responsibility to defend herself from any type of assault (sexual or otherwise).

Great precedence, NHL, Patrick Kane totally endorses this

Mario is a bit too crazy, I would have to put it on rookie mode to do that.
