Harrington back down, probably means Ehrhoff or Comeau are close to returning.

I'm really interested to see the lineup when Comeau comes back, they no longer need to play the scrubs on the 4th line, but my guess is Sill and Adams are here to stay.

I understand that Comeau is coming back, but I didn't hear about Erhoff.

Can't see them making Lapierre a healthy scratch and letting Sill and Adams play. (I almost wrote Sill and Apps. I'll leave it at that and see how many old farts are out there that would understand why I would say that.)

Not any old fart, but I know who Syl Apps is!

I think that Comeau-Malkin-Hornqvist line is going to be really good. They are going to be a headache for goaltenders.

And Hornqvist buries the first goal of the game! :whoo:

Pens are crashing the net. Just bought a penalty and almost scored a goal doing it, and the powerplay is doing the same. Two very good chances right off the jump.

Pens are starting with a nice, patient possession game. Really controlling the first seven minutes or so.

The Pens have had a great chance just about every time they've entered the zone. Crashing the net, getting shots on goal, causing havoc for the Wings' defense. Lots of good hits behind the goal to steal possession, too. Love the energy.

2-0 Pens, as Comeau finds the back of a the net after a great, hardworking setup by Hornqvist!

The Geno line isn't just flying, they're completely dominating tonight.

Loved the way Geno's line played tonight. You're right they completely dominated when they were out there.

Was Sid a scratch tonight?

If this game is what to expect with a healthy roster, then I am pleased.

The top two lines were creative and possessed the puck, generated a lot of chances. The bottom six were solid in their own end, limited the Wings' attack, and got going on the cycle themselves. With everyone back, we've got four lines of solid NHLers.

Nice seeing a real lineup out there. Pens were faster than Detroit in every respect, until they decided to go into a shell in the third.

Comeau-Malkin-Hornqvist works, which makes sense since Comeau and Hornqvist play well without the puck, and Malkin doesn't, but Malkin is amazing with the puck. Could be the elusive whole is greater than the sum of the parts line.

4th line with Lapierre is much better, I think Goc is a better player, but Lapierre is a better fit for this team.

Who the heck was that team in the black jerseys last night? My gosh they looked dominant in those first two periods.

One thing I just don't get about this team is how Jekyll and Hyde they are from game to game. Especially when it comes to facing any team that is within their division. For example:

20-11-7 VS Eastern Conference | 13-2-3 VS Atlantic Division | 7-9-4 VS Metro Division

Those numbers stagger me. They absolutely shred out of division and out of conference opponents, but they can't beat any legit contenders within their own division. Just a couple more wins against the likes of the Isles/Rags/Caps, and they comfortably lead this division, and likely the Eastern Conference.

Very scary because of the divisional setup of the playoffs now.

I noticed Bennett got bumped down to the fourth line and Adams up to the third last night, and I'm not sure why. Bennett looked good most of the times I saw him. He was throwing hits and backchecking, and served as the only real possession guy on the third line. And I thought the third line was actually cycling pretty well for stretches.

Although, I do wonder if, with Sutter not looking himself lately, it might have actually been an upgrade for Bennett to play with Lapierre and Downie. Still, Beau seems to be taking a bit of an unfair brunt of the coaching staff's ire.

I didn't notice Bennett at all on the ice...

I have no idea why Adams is still on this team
