Over the next 5 seasons, who will be the most successful program in the Big Ten West?

The only reason I would give Nebraska a chance is because of how well they've recruited under Frost, especially 2019 and this year's class. I think by next year, they'll be competing for the division(2021). I still went with Wisconsin, because outside of OSU, they've been the best B1G program this century. Going against something that consistent, doesn't make much sense to me.

I agree with your premise about kids not caring about what happened in 70s, 80s and 90s, but with that said they are still recruiting better with Frost than any other B1GW program. Also, I don't think it can be understated how truly awful the Riley hire was.

Once he finally gets the team to get 8 wins, those players out of state should begin to stick and not be too quick to hit the portal. It's tough to have those kids sit while they live so far away when you are losing.

Wisconsin's recruiting is trending up. Combine that with a proven development system and they will continue to be the class of the West. They aren't in OSU country yet, but it's between them and Penn St for #2 in the conference
Minnesota is coming for that ass.

Hell, Minnesota is closer to Illinois than Wisconsin over the last 3 years.

Question isn't the last 3 years though, is it? Did you pick that time frame perhaps it includes that 13-1 year 3 years ago? Why not the last 2, where the programs have nearly identical records?

Recent history and trends seem more relevant. Minnesota clearly turned a corner after Fleck fired Robb Smith mid season in 2018. Since Joe Rossi replaced him as DC, they've gone 14-3.

No, I picked because of the thread about P5 records in conference.

Yes, Minnesota is on the rise but they haven't caught Wisonsin yet and since we were asked about a 5 year window of domination, I picked Wisconsin

Minnesota is fixing to give the rest of the B1G West the octopus treatment.

I wouldn't necessarily sleep on Purdue. Their star WR (who very well could have been the nation's best) and star LB (who very well could have been B1G's best) got injured right away and they had a few more injuries.

But I think Nebraska would have looked better if wasn't for injuries as well.

What if I told you... that the Illinois Fighting Illini have been to a Rose Bowl more recently than michigan?

I remember being an absolute jackass and takin Illinois +13.5

I love watching the Rose Bowl with a little skin in the game and eating pork and mashed taters.

I'd hope you also mean pork and kraut.
