My dad's parents migrated to Washington state from Minnesota and North Dakota back in the 30's. Great grandma was from Norway (Trondheim) and the rest of the family came here from the Netherlands (Friesland).

Most of Washington and Oregon's migrants came from states like Minnesota, Wisconsin and North Dakota to get jobs in the commercial fishing and logging industry. A fvckload of Norwegians migrated up to SE Alaska from there for those same jobs. We have a village in SE Alaska named 'Petersburg' which we call Little Norway. They still have an annual Norwegian festival there during the summer.

Aleut villages and a few Old Faith Russian villages. Some Aleuts have so much Russian in them that they have grey eyes.
