I don't think a lot of people liked it but I really liked Carlito's Way. Pacino somewhat toned down, Sean Penn chewing the scenery...

I wonder if Carlito's Way was a little ahead of its time and almost too gritty for people's taste when it came out. That said, I agree with you, another great movie.

Both Pacino/DePalma movies were disliked at first but ended up being very appreciated as time went on.

If this was made now would the ad be "wonder what Sheldon's dad has going on 'downstairs'?"

Did Swamp Thing have an ad campaign "Want to see Maude's daughter's knockers? (70s term) Here you go!"
