None of this matters if we don't get some playmakers on defense. We need to sign suh or jpp. Need to draft a ball hawk free safety. I like Murray but would think that if peterson get released he would take less money to go for a ring.

I absolutely agree that Rodgers makes it easier for Lacy -- but couldn't the same thing be said for Romo making it easier for Murray? How about the pressure that Dez takes off Murray?

When I watch Lacy, I see a determined runner with nimble feet and excellent balance for a big back. He finishes runs, is solid in pass protection, and does a decent job taking care of the football. Lacy is in my top 8 at RB. JMHO

Not as many weapons or much of a fear factor Romo has that Rodgers does imo. They single high Dallas and role safety to Dez most times. 30 of 31 possible teams would think of doing that to Rodgers, obviously Seattle is the exception. Good RB, maybe top ten, but I'd have to sit down and look at all RBs before I made that definite; but if say it's a safe bet to say.

I have no interest with Ingram on this team. What about C.J. Spiller? I believe he's in the last year of his contract and the Bills would be willing to part with him fairly cheap. Go into the season with Spiller splitting caries with Randle or Williams or both. I don't believe Murray or AP is on this team next year. Unless they Franchise Murray

CJ Spiller is an UFA this season. I still feel like AP is just destined to be a Cowboy idk just my gut.

Don't think it's smart to sign Suh or JPP and don't think it'll happen. Look for maybe a Jerry Hughes, Adrain Claiborne, Daquan Bowers type of player added. Then look for the draft to handle the rest, like Safety and a 1tech. You have to know that a 1tech in this D is the least valuable postion in this DL the 3tech is most important and Crawford owns that spot and they won't let him be replaced. Our offseason in FA to me will be us bringing back to Texas natives in AP and Hughes. Hughes won't get JPP dollars, and AP will won't get Murray dollars. I think both come for a total annual average of 12M per together.

People keep mentioning JPP and it's a terrible idea. He's more of what we've been dealing with for 3 years now, guys that we rely upon for big plays on defense that can't stay healthy. Ratliff, Ware, Spencer, Lee etc. Why bring in another injury prone guy that can't be relied upon for a full season?

I'd go for a guy like Jeryy Hughes. Home town guy from Sugar Land TX....probably would love to play back in TX, and probably wouldn't break the bank like JPP. You also have guys like Brandon Graham, Pernell McPhee, and Jabaal Sheard who would cost less but still be an upgrade. Also the wild card is Orakpo he could come for less due to injury history, at 4-3 DE he'd take less of a beating each game. I'd completely go away from JPP if it were me.

Also you have guys like Adrian Claiborne, Da'Quan Bowers whom I think would finally flourish in Dallas under Rod, and George Johnson.

Then two bets I'd look at as two down players in John Abraham and Freeney. So plenty of options out there.

I think guys like McPhee, Graham, and Sheard would be looking at Chris Clemons type contracts 4yr/ 17.5M, while a guy like Hughes would be looking at Michael Johnson type money 5yr/43.75M.......both the contracts of Johnson and Clemons were signed last year and should be good contracts to look at.

No, at least not at his current cost. If we do the entire world should be shocked. Not a 9M per player as of now, as well as Crawford was GREAT this year, and I do mean GREAT at the 3 tech, he is the only player that has a for sure starting spot going into next season on that DL.

John Gibbs JR. QB Alcorn State that's my sleeper pick. If that dude is around in the 3rd round we need to nab him.

2013 Murray had 217 carries 1,121 yards 5.2 per carry
2012 Murray had 161 carries 663 yards 4.1 per carry
2011 Murray had 164 carries 897 yards 5.5 per carry
2010 Felix had 185 carries 800 yards 4.3 per carry
2009 MB3 had 214 carries 932 yards 4.4 per carry

Kind of hard for anyone to get over 1,200 yards when the most carries any back has received in the last 5 years before this past year was 217 in 2013.

Since 2009 24 RB's have carried the rock 300 times or more 23 of those RB's have rushed for 1,200 or more every time expect the one time being Cedric Benson in 2010 when he had a horrible 3.5 per carry, the next year he isn't in the NFL, the fact that in 2009 Benson also had the lowest average of any of these 23 guys to rush for 1,200 plus at 301 carries for 1,253 should've told the Bears something which it did and why they drafted Forte.

So once more if I am going to give a RB 350-400 carries per a season, and my OL is that good, I am telling you that every back in the last 6 seasons and I'm sure more if I went back longer except for Benson being the lone one could rush for 1,200 plus yards easy!

I kind of agree with you, but from what I am hearing, Romo is going to restructure his deal and the Cowboys are going to keep Murray and Dez. Can't say it would be a bad thing, it's be neat to go into next year as one of the favorites

Murray has averaged dang near 4.7 yards over his career with the Cowboys. And that includes when most people were complaining that we had one of the worst lines in the league. Anyone claiiming that any back could have had similar success is just being obtuse(and yes I did watch Shawshank this weekend)

Malcolm Brown?

I thought he had a great year for the Horns in 2013, expected big things last year, but he kind of fell back a bit. He could be a nice pick later on in the draft

I have seen a couple mock drafts that had the Cowboys taking Bennett from tOSU, I just think he is bit undersized

I would love it if we added this kid. You're right, he's no monster at 6'2'', 290 or so, but he's quick and just a flat out ballplayer. Aaron Donald proved to be an undersized stud last year, this kid has some of what he has IMO

No damn trade downs. I think we take a safety or corner after signing a FA pass rusher. Carr is going to take a pay cut or will be history
