Just a follow up on my Jim Brown comment, I understand he was simply amazing. In my opinion however his game was totally built around the fact he was so much bigger and stronger than everyone else, that would not be the case if he played today, he would still be a great back because he was big and strong but it wouldnt be the same. The supps/drugs wouldnt help him be a better RB he would have probably played a different position he was already 235 lbs he might have got to 250-260 and been a LB had he played today.

I love these kinds of drafts, looking for Studwell stuff, came across a name from the past. Anthony Carter. Another guy I liked as a kid (back when I like most teams, so enjoyed players no matter where they played).

The Shootist, not in my top 5 Duke movies, but that's a tough nut to crack

Not in my top 5 either but I love(d) Lauren Bacall so I love that movie.

Top 5 Duke movies, I own about 40-50 of them...

Rio Bravo
War Wagon
Liberty Valance
North to Alaska
Hatari

Loved AC, he was a pretty good receiver for a short time.

Last night I decided I wanted to get the Seahawks video yearbooks for every season. So I went looking. The NFL now offers to send you a DVD copy of any video yearbook for a cool $50 each. It would cost me $2000 to get all the Seahawks yearbooks, so needless to say I didn't get any.

Does anyone have a problem with Nos and myself receiving every ones votes? Your opinion either way wont hurt our feelings. I just want everyone happy and the voting to be accurate and less drama then in the past.

I totally understand why you want this Ritz I really do but I would vote against this as I dont believe it's fair to the other drafters. But, if everyone wants it then i'm cool with it.

I've never liked the Seahawks, not sure why even when they sucked I didn't like them. I did like Curt Warner and Kenny Easley though.

I'd go Big Jake, Rio Bravo. McClintock. The Searchers and The Sons of Katie Elder with the Cowboys trying to sneak in

Aww man I just watched Sons of Katie Elder the other day good one! AND yessssssss love McLintock. Big Jake not a favorite for me and the Searchers is overrated IMO, I like it it's just overrated. Cowboys was good! I also liked Undefeated, Donovan's Reef, Hellfighters and the Horse Soldiers.

Yeah I would rather see the votes myself as well. I enjoy the debate personally. Would take away from that

I have a fun idea for the next baseball draft. We can do an open draft. 24 rounds same rules as always. But the first 5 rounds are auto drafted using JAWS

I do understand what you are saying, and do agree to an extent... But are you saying in these hypothetical drafts that you would be better off having a player who has no pro-bowls just to have size??

I'm not saying that, you have a 9x probowler... That alone gives him a head start, but I have Rueben Brown at LG... 9x probowler, also 6'3" 300 pounds... I'm leaning to him, but that's just me...

As for Gilbert Brown sucking... That's simply bullshit... There isn't 1 guy who's gonna root him out the way... He's going to demand at least 2 if you plan on running up the middle, running sweeps he probably doesn't make the play... On the pass, he's gonna demand some help as well, not a ton though... I picked him for the scheme not the #s...

Born and raised in Eastern Washington, so Seahawks have always been my team (no bandwagon accusations here). Love the whole history, and many of the players. Never been to a game though, and unfortunately I cannot see myself ever getting to one. But, die hard as they come - even when they were 2-14, didn't miss 'em on the tv.

Just piggy backing on the scheme thing... My OLBs are speedy hard hitters... My ILBs are hard hitting and with speed and size... Kirkland was the LB in the Nickle packages in Pit... And my secondary are hitters who can cover... Size and speed are all over the field... And just for clearification size does matter... You talk about Brown being better because he was bigger, then act like it has no effect on the next point... Size usually =s strength in football, while there are exceptions, there is also more evidence that it does... And for the record we aren't talking about LT, we're talking about guys who aren't in the HOF...
