Despite 30-13 and a 22-5 run the Phils are starting to take some nagging injuries.
1. Turner is in the midst of a 6 week shut down for his hamstring
2. JT Realmuto has missed 3 straight games with an issue with his left knee.
3. Harper was a late scratch yesterday because of a migraine, but, even before that, it looks like he did something to his back.
4. Schwarber’s first game back after missing two was yesterday. He’s got a cranky back.

It’s good to have some organizational depth to help out but that’s being taxed right now.

Phil’s win 10-5. Ranger Suarez opens the season at 8-0 with 1.37 ERA. Phil’s played some shitty sloppy baseball tonight and still won in a laugher. This is a really good club and the Mutts are not.

Cubs up 7-1 on the Braves.

I keep forgetting he's still in the league. In fact, I didn't realize he was even that effective in 2022 (he had a 137 ERA+ in 165.2 innings, wtf?) and 2023. Mets rotation has been surprisingly OK despite it being made up of has beens and their underlying stats have been less than impressive. Their five main starters all have walk rates above 3.5 and only SP has a K/BB ratio even above 2 (Severino at 2.05). That's pretty bad for today's game. Not like the Mets are a good defensive team, either. Christian Scott's looked really good in his first two MLB starts, so there's that.

Phil’s have won 3 in a row against them despite playing some mistake prone little league baseball. They’re a pretty mediocre offense.

Bad baseball cost them tonight. 6-5 loss. Gave up two runs on wild pitches tonight. Lost a 3-2 lead on 2 unearned runs.

Flush it and go win tomorrow.

Phils back in the win column. Wheeler with a nice bounce back start after two un Wheeler like starts in a row. Lead up to 3.5 games.

Phil’s find a way again tonight. After their 8-8 start they’re 25-6. 5th starter Sanchez went 7 innings of 2 run ball.

Why did Anthopoulos think Sean Murphy would be a better fit for the Braves than William Contreras? Hasn't seemed to work out that way.

Phil’s haven’t lost a series since April 1st -3rd. Not used to hot starts from the Phillies.

They probably front loaded the schedule for the Phillies and Mets so they can have a couple travel days for that London series.
