its the sharks... at home... against a good team... with a top 4 Dman out. This is not in any way surprising to me. That road trip was a lot of luck as they really didnt outplay any team even though the squeaked out each W. This sharks team is not very good and I was right not to get excited by the W's.

I still think they miss the PO's. They were lucky to be 6-0 on that trip. Yes, they got the W's, but they havent played a really consistent good game since the opening 3 games of the year. They could very easily have gone 3-3 on the trip, and really deserved to.

The sharks have beaten Anaheim, Carolina, and florida at home, all three suck.

the top 10 teams right now are: MTL, DAL, NYR, STL, WAS, OTT, NSH, LA, and CHI. Against those 10, the sharks are 2-7, with the only 2 wins coming in the first 4 games. Thus, they are 0-7 against those teams in the last 17 games. its pretty telling that they cannot skate with the top 1/3 of the league, and they havent beaten a team .500 or better at home this season, with all 3 W's against bottom 10 teams, and 0-6 against teams in the top 20.

nice that they beat the bottom feeders most of the time, but they cannot compete with respectable teams.

They are beating the teams they are supposed to and are competing with the best teams on most nights. It's obvious the bottom pairing is a disaster and if they can shore that up they'll be much better off. They are still further along then I'd thought they be

One goal came off a bad call on Burns, and another just after a missed too many on the ice call on the Hawks..plus Brown had to be the guy on the breakaway. Of course hands of stone muffed that. I thought they had a fair amount of opportunities after the first period. One of those nights....
