The new one blew out, I'm assuming the fender damage caused by the first flat cut down the new tire.

and don't forget that NASCAR loosened the set-up rules. These guys are running much more aggressive set-ups than they ever have. NASCAR, Goodyear, and the crew chiefs haven't found common ground yet. NASCAR is allowing the teams to be more aggressive, goodyear is trying to keep the tires fast, and the crew chiefs are, as always, pushing the absolute limits of the tire.

They have had tire issues all weekend. That's why Almirola and Logano are in backup cars.
