Lots of quality pieces out there available as FA - Hopefully Lebron will do what is right for the team so we can sign some of these guys.

I don't mind Nelson. He will be better than anything we had in a long time.

If he starts he is good for 12-14 PPG while dishing out 6-8 APG

good news... Teams pursuing LeBron will meet with LeBron's agent, LeBron will not be at the meetings. To me... It looks like he is staying. Four years ago he went to the meetings asked questions heard the presentations. This time it seems more like a formality.. like if Pat Riley goes rougue and starts signing Mike Bibby to 10 million per season he is leaving. Otherwise, he should stay.

Doubtful. I think it's down to Chicago, NY and Houston in that order. Melo is not the answer to Miami winning the title next year.

Larry Drew II back with Heat summer roster. Justin Hamilton on roster, but may have to be cut/re-signed to maximize cap space.

melo isnt a pipe dream and not even a good dream. Yea he can help with the scoring where Wade leaves off, but his lack of defense would hurt us, plus the price tag keeps us from getting anyone else that would be an upgrade.

Noooooooooo..... I want Ariza and Lowry. More so Lowry! IMO, other than some max guys, who we won't get anyway, Lowry is the guy I think should be at the top of our list!!

I don't think LeBron is going anywhere, Melo is going to Chicago. Want/need Lowry!

Nelson/Lowry and Gasol is probably a pipe dream. One of those three we can do. but all want to much money for us to get two. I like Cole and Shabazz. I would prefer us get ariza and Gasol or Gortat. We land ariza with one of those other two.. plus add in a guy like VC .. we are golden. Easily best in East regardless of where Melo ends up.

I think if the Lakers aren't active this summer, Gasol leaves. Miami would be a great fit and I think would be easy Finals bound.

I think if that happens, Bosh is expendable. Personally, Gasol > Bosh. Bosh just younger.

Do you think Napier is a starter game 1?? Would be good for you guys to get a good vet to put with him.

I would run Gasol at center.. or at least two PFs with Bosh. Centers in the NBA are ridiculously weak right now. When Noah is the best the East has to offer.. Gasol can run center for us without any real problem. He has a nice mid-range, which means you could run a ton of high post plays from either side with him and bosh out there. pull the bigs out of the lanes at will. He would be deadly on Miami.

Shabazz as a starter game 1? I don't know. I think so. But translating the to the pro game from college is iffy at best. My problem with a vet is this.. we have Cole. We aren't getting rid of Napier. So are we really going to keep 3 PGs on a team that has LeBron and Wade? Literally 5 guys who could run point? Seems like a bit much. I don't mind the veteran PG coming in... but then Cole has to go.

Yeah, as tough as you guys were with Miam's first title run, I think you'd be waaay better with Pau. You're right, he can run at the 5 OR the 4, with a great shot at 15 in.

Yeah, your PG position is tricky. Miami isn't in a position to overspend on a spot you already have enough of. THe problem is, Cole and Chalmers aren't getting it done. You'd rather keep Chalmers over Cole??

Im glad to see Wade/Bosh say they will resign. Just have to wonder why LBJ demands that Riley upgrades the roster at every position and then opts out and demands a max contract. Kind of leaves his hands tied. Even with Wade/Bosh taking serious paycuts just to keep him.

LBJ asking for a 1-2 year Max contract, why not just opt in? wouldnt it have been the same thing? Opting out only made sense if you were going to take less.

Like I said, diva. People want to get on his dick for what he has done for the team and thats all well and good, but he has also done some things to hurt the team and this is yet another one - this is the ultimate way to hurt the team - Not sure Riles likes this too much. I think if Lebron continues to demand the Heat show him the money, further restraining them from improving the team, Riles may instead just show him the door.

Cole and Chalmers are the same guy to me. Gun to my head.. I'd take Chalmers. Chalmers is a free agent coming off a 4 million a year salary. Something tells me he is going to want at least that, but likely more. He isn't worth it. Not when you have Cole still on his rookie contract and Shabazz on the team. Someone out there will pay Chalmers 4 million a year. Not sure who.. but someone will.
