Nats go quietly in the 8th.

Gonzalez gets the 1st out in the bottom of the 8th, Mattheus now in to pitch for the Nats.

Mattheus pops up Hairston for the 2nd out, Tejada gets an infield single. Runner on 1st with 2 outs for Valdespin.

And Valdespin grounds into a fielder's choice to end the 8th. 2-2 heading to the 9th.

Morse leads off for the Nats against Parnell in the 9th. He hits a dribbler up the line, nice play by Parnell to get him at 1st.

LaRoche somehow beats the shift with a groundball to right. 1st hit for the Nats since the 1st inning.

And Espinosa promptly grounds into a double play to end the top of the 9th. I don't have a good feeling about this.

David Wright leads off against Mattheus in the bottom of the 9th.

Wright grounds out to 2nd.

Gorzelanny replaces Mattheus with 1 out.

Murphy doubles down the right field line with 2 outs. Winning run now on 2nd.
