I get that the school/program wants a new fresh start. They should just throw out all traditions and rename the school so they can become another of the cookie-cutter commercial enterprises like most of college football then.

Ok, I take back most of what I said. Bill is only doing this for this year, to honor the players who chose to stay. He will revisit whether to keep the nameplates next year.

That fumble there hurt. As to the names - at this point, it's whatever it takes to keep people in the program at this point. Besides, the players are making a hell of a sacrifice.
