Meh. I learned my lesson about expecting too much. Still rooting for them to take this series but I'm preparing for the worse.

I'm never going to get over what happened this past weekend.

Also heard on the radio that McLendon is pulling Young out from his next start and he'll go with bullpen by committee. Thank goodness because it's very apparent that Young has no juice left in him.

Your 2014 Mariners playoffs hopes are on its last breath boys. This team has rely on the pitching all year long and now it's absolutely collapsing.

MLB needs to take a page from the NFL as far as replay. Clear and convincing evidence must be there to change the call. Seems like that doesn't happen in baseball. There was no clear and convincing evidence on that at 3rd. Call should have stood

From what I saw, it does look like he got his foot in there before the tag.

Current state of this team: No pitching + no offense + sloppy defense = UGLY.

Just to think, about a month ago, we were talking about how this team's pitching may be one of the best in ages. What happened?

It's almost comical. Can you believe this team is in the playoffs hunt? Look like they all quit since the beginning of this road trip

Where are all the silver lining comments? We suck and that is the story. We won't spend in the off season and our pitching won't match this years start. We have 40% of our payroll tied to two players. Our youngsters are role players at best and not foundation guys. That spells decline so be happy for a few months of somewhat competitive baseball that took over a decade to get. Not upset, that ended a month ago when we added only 3 marginal at best players to a team needing 3 studs. The good news I guess is that we get Jack back and the team made money.

Correction. They all quit well BEFORE the beginning of this road trip. You need look no further than the fact that one win per home series was their quota, pretty much since the All-Star Break.

Heads should roll after all this. Where to start, though?

Ownership is the pipe dream, but Jack should have his extension revoked. The season should've been played out before his extension. He officially has 2 things in entire tenure that anyone can debate he should have a job and that is Felix's extension and the Cano signing. There isn't even another compelling argument on why he deserved an extension.

Is it possible to revoke a contract extension? I sure hope so. Ever since he got it, it's all been downhill.

Conspiracy, anyone? jk

Actually this team had one of the better records after the ASB. They just happen to suck at home and played well on the road all year long. Now everything just collapsed around them

Don't think so, but you can fire him. He'd still be owed the money though, so the Mariners FO would never actually do that.
