You're wasting valuable space. It would be helpful to Joseph to get a taste of MLB pitching right and left. What the diff if he passes or fails? You're acting they would be tampering with the mlb gods to find out what a guy can do right away. It wouldn't be the first time a guy came up and hit it big right away and stayed at his position for a long time.
Isn't that how Howard earned his spot when he came up?

I think people like _phillies_ are getting angry when you reference Ryan Howard and Lou Gehrig with Tommy Joseph. Not saying I agree, but that is his rationale

what you're not getting is.. i'm simply telling you what the phils are doing and giving reasons behind their logic. this is their approach and it's currently the way things will play out. so anyone who keeps questioning why joseph isn't playing this game or that game, saying he needs to be out there, etc. they are wasting their time.

personally, i'm perfectly fine with this. i'd also be fine if howard was just cut so he could possibly sign elsewhere.

We already know what the Phillies are doing and their logic. It's been explained by analysts. I just don't agree and that's that.

Just think, if old man Colon beats the Nats tonight, Phils and Mets are practically tied for 1st. It will look odd though with the Phillies having a -30 run differential.

Nice homer by Goeddel. 4-2. Let's forget about Asche and Altherr.
Case in point. Goeddel gets some regular playing time and he starts to perform well. He has earned the right for continued starts.

Another case in point. Joseph could not have done any worse than anemic Howard today!

Is Goeddel a splendid splinter? What if he surprised us all by hitting .300/.360/.450 ? I like delusions like these.
Since a delusion is not a conclusion then it is not an opinion. That should pass the test with phillies. Oh, wait
a minute, I just formed an opinion and ruined everything!

We should summarize the accomplishments of the day:

We saw great Phillies SP and relief
We won the game
We're in first place with shared status
We got to see Howard fall to .164
We got to see Greg make the Marlins pay for walking Franco
We got to see Goeddel unleash his power stroke
We won the game without Joseph
We wasted 3 hours not seeing whether Joseph would hit RHP when Howard did nothing
We learned that _PHILLIES_ is an agent of Amaro and Ryno sent to this forum to preserve their legacy and to restore faith in management so fans would still buy tickets and not get too anxious when the FO makes bad decisions

That sounds like a Johnny Cochrane quote. Or maybe Clyde Frazier "A delusion is not a conclusion"
