-4 after 1 after the Heat hit one of their usual in-quarter lows -- once again, too many 3's taken not enough/none made and not enough FTs chances but still early

Also, too many subs at once and their lack of production hasnt help early on

Ellington has been in rhythm of late with the 3's so cant blame him for feeling it and just jacking up 3's but he has got to try and set his feet on one of these until they fall and gets back on track

And now Richardson has a Scrub Battier moment of the night fouling a 3pt shooter - just one of those signature bad defensive sequences for Richardson

Heat have to go back to their regulars NOW because they need to cut into this lead before the half - this group looks lifeless right now

Heat have to find a way to cut the deficit to -9 or less before the half or they might as well start getting ready for tomorrow night

Having only 9 guys available sucks because Spo doesn't really have a choice about who he can go to when it comes to bench players

Agreed. Reasonable and understandable. My issue is not with who he is going to - as he doesnt have much choice in that regard - my issue is with the combination at certain points in the game.

With the deficit being what it is already, which is now 20 as we go into half time and the way they have been playing -- even with a game coming tomorrow night also -- the Heat have to sacrifice their starters/regulars a little more so as not to go to the bench as much because they have really responded.

I want to see a little 2-man basketball early in the second half between Goran and Hassan to open up the rest of the floor for everyone else.

Like I said, the bench hasnt really responded as of yet, so dont try to rely on them to get us back on track just yet.

Also, FT attempts/3pt attempt ratio and turnovers once again a problem.

Really hope Johnson and Winslow are back next week.

Hard to even predict what you're going to get from this team with this current roster. Everything needs to be perfect in order to win when you have 9 guys dressing

I think calling what we saw in that first half "defense" is insulting to defenses everywhere.

Heat have played well the last 10 to get into 8th in the conference. Tough to win when this short handed but losses to the Hawks and possibly the Nets at home are the ones that can cost the team the playoffs and negate wins such as those against Boston. Let’s see if the team can get it together. Would stink to end the year with two bad losses but with a back to back and limited players available, it could happen.

Let’s see if we make a run. Bench has been brutal tonight. You would think that Dragic and Hasan could carry the day but not looking like it.

Its only the first half, but its been another game in which TJ's production or lack off is not matching the playing time he gets.

Another night of him making mistakes simply because he refuses to make the simply play.

Along with our defense our guard play must improve to get us back in this - or at least the illusion of being back in this game and having a chance at this point

Olynk and Whiteside on the court together will never work IMO. He is too poor of a defender and kills Miami defense when he is at PF
