Miami Heat Game Thread for Games January 27- February 6

Joel Anthony has out scored our starting guards.
Does ANYTHING else really need to be said about this roster/team?

our point guards absolutely stink...They can't play defense and can not score. Need to use that injured player exception on a point guard. Also, as to why I correctly assume that Stan Van Gundy made adjustments and we did not is that it is all in the data. We are -4.1 on average in the 3rd quarter and about -1 in the 4th. The empirical data shows our coaches consistently get out outclassed at halftime.

We will now officially be in 8th place in the conference with Charlotte leading the season series against us and the Nets just one game back in the loss column and Detroit getting closer.

Amazing that we may be in a position where we miss the playoffs in the Eastern conference with 2 All Stars, Deng, and an emerging center. I know we have had injuries but we are 7 games under 500 at home.

Does any one on planet earth think Ennis or Williams is even close to being as talented as Beasley is?
He would be fun to watch in certain rotations with this roster.

If you say so, our guards outscored tonight by Pistons 2nd string point guard and their shooting guards 43-5 if we include Chalmers, Napier, and Cole versus the Pistons guards. Their point guard alone outscored Chalmers and Napier 25-1......WOW.

Augustin is pretty good and actually would be starting on a lot of teams. Yes our PG's suck but we knew that already but DJ isn't your typical 2nd string PG.

I agree with this. The only team that I can see possibly passing us is Detroit.

The Nets I'm not worried about at all. Check their schedule and get back to me. That team is done.

We are losing the games I expect us to and winning the games I expect.

I expect us to win tmr and lose against the Spurs on Friday.

Would be greatly appreciated if I don't have to see any post like the world is ending after we lose to the Spurs on Friday. Most likely we enter the break 23-29 with wins over NYK & MIN and losses to Cleveland and San Antonio

If Wade comes back after the AS break, as most expect him to we'll be fine.....now if he miss an another 2 weeks after the break (which I highly doubt since the Heat did not rule him out for the rest of the trip and also they have not named a replacement for him in the AS game which means it is possible he returns before the break) only then I'll worry about missing the playoffs.

End of the day the team I'm truly worried about is 3 losses behind us

DJ Augustin plays for 3 million a season. Signed this offseason. Chalmers resigned for 4 million a year. I love me some Pat Riley... But he screwed that one up.
