Jason Fox should either get the start or get a lot of playing time in this game - He had a great game over Thomas in this one

He will probably be up for some HC jobs after this season, but the Fins should look into bringing back Todd Bowles - minus what the Seahawks may do to them tonight - he has made the defense into something really good, that should only get better in the playoffs. He would certainly be an upgrade over our suspect DC

I think Salguero is one of the few clowns covering the Fins who has no business covering them, or sports for that matter - But, he has a good article here - And I dont just think its good because I agree with it.... maybe...

This is a tough matchup for the Fins. The Jets are one of the best teams in the NFL a running the ball. I think the Fins will win but it won't be easy. The Jets also have a very good defense. This game is a good game for some of the players to solidify their spots on the roster.

The #Dolphins' points per game is up from 19.8 in 2013 to 24.3 this season. New OC Bill Lazor deserves a lot of credit.

Just more proof the offense is not the problem.

Could the Dolphins be playing against their future DC? Certainly, it has to be the last game for Coyle - If Philbin wants to survive next season. Given the roller-coaster it has been for Rex, I doubt he finds an HC job right away much like it was for Jim Schwartz after his disastour stint with the Lions. He had to settle for a DC job this season to get back on track, for possibly a shot at an HC job again next season - We can at least have Rex next season while he gets it together again. I am pretty sure he can make better use of our talent on defense and especially Dion Jordan.

Analysis: There are not any major surprises for Miami. Thomas injured his foot and will miss his second straight game, despite practicing throughout the week. This will give backup Jason Fox his second start and another audition before becoming an unrestricted free agent in the offseason. Receiver Percy Harvin and center Nick Mangold are the biggest inactives Sunday for the Jets.

Dolphins DE Cameron Wake needs 1.5 sacks today to get 13 for season and earn $1 million in incentives; 3.5 sacks will mean another $1.25M.

Fins may be out of contention but a lot of guys have a lot to play for. I expect a heck of an effort from everyone that gets on the field today.

We have a lot of talent among the young guys and I expect that to be shown today in their play going into next season. A few tweaks in the offseason(along with a new DC) and the Dolphins will be playing beyond December next season.

Slow start. 3 and out after the sack. A bad call to run it up the middle this early and bad set up of a pass play early. We need faster developing play calls against this defense. Lets see if our defense can muster up a pulse for once early

Well, at least for one drive - the Fins defense holds up and makes some plays. Lets see if better play calling occurs on the next offensive drive
