I don't see how this defense can be successful long-term for the rest of the season - eventually the lack of depth will show

Crap news...now it's tough to trade a dman unless they prefer to bring up a rookie like Morin down the stretch.

I think if they plan to look long term they can still move one of the defenders, for the right price.
MDZ has greatly improved his play in the defensive zone. He really matured this season.

Hopefully he will return with no long term ill effects and will be part of the long term answer for the Flyers.

You can still move a defenseman actually. We have seven right now without Del Zotto. We would probably still have to bring up Morin, but he wouldn't play unless someone else got hurt or suspended.

The emergence of Ghost has really given us a lot more options here and I still think we have a decent shot at making the playoffs whereas a loss of MDZ before would've ruined us.

It seems like Giroux will play Tuesday and I'm expecting Couturier in two weeks or less.
