Is this a suicide type league?

No a team gets eliminated each period. Whomever had the low score for that period, is eliminated and their players go back into the player pool.

The number of team determines the period length. Right now with 13 teams the periods will be: five 2 week periods and seven 1 week periods.

In suicide league, you can only use the players you drafted. Otherwise, it's a normal season. You are not allowed to add players if your drafted players get injured. You can only sub with bench players.
