I'd say this Elias' best outing all year. 8 shutout innings against a damn good lineup. Impressive

I have a bad feeling about today's match up.

Elias's pitch sequences are too predictable. Once teams got a good scouting report on him they were able to take advantage of his fastballs (which he throws a lot, especially first pitches).

I hope I'm wrong, but I have a feeling that Detroit will feast on his fastballs. On the bright side at least Jones and Saunders is back in the lineup

Absolutely wrong about Elias vs Detroit today! Can't believe he out pitched Scherzer

darn, i thought maybe this was my chance to see a no hitter this year.

i missed all of beckett's

oh well, the year is young.

You didn't get a no hitter, but Elias pitched one hell of a game.

Wow Im surprised LMC let him pitch the 9th. Regardless simply an amazing performance today. If he can spot that changeup consistently to go with his curve and fastball, he could be really good.

This team continues to confuse/surprise me. Took 2 of 3 from the Tigers without Cano. It feels nice to be somewhat relevant on June 1st. Hopefully I can say the same in a month.

We tied a series with the Angels and even took 2/3 from the Tigers, but the Astros were just too much as we dropped 2/3 to them.

They didn't lose the series against the Astros, they split a 4 game series.

A 3 hit, CGSO is impressive in itself. It is even more impressive when you take into consideration he did it against one of baseball's best lineups. Great win for the Mariners and terrific performance by Elias, hands down his best outing.

Kinsler, Cabrera and Martinez all went hitless today. Great job by Elias. Not easy to hold those three to 0-11.

It's really frustrating to think that if this team had a consistent offense, this team may actually be a playoff contender.

Exactly. That is what ticks me off the most is that we are throwing away chances while our two best players are still in their prime, That won't last much longer.

I'm not impressed with him as a manager, even trying to give him the benefit of the doubt since it's his first gig as the skipper. Maybe he'll grow into it a little better when/if he gets to run a real MLB team.

McClendon wasn't the manager of the Pirates from 2001-2005? I guess that was his double double then.

Good call, super fan.
