Mariners haven't lost many series this season... They need to start beating these teams that will be pushing them come August/September for the WC spot... Blue Jays are one of those team......

Our odds are good with the big Canadian, Paxton on the mound in Canada...

Just shows how stupid (IMO) sabermetrics are in baseball. The Mariners have an ace and 4 number 4/5 guys.

You can't really complain about needing more pitching help and poo poo kicking the tires on Matt Harvey. There is nobody else coming to help. Nobody expects him to be good at this point, but given what we have to work with, you have to try.

If you count Leblanc and Mirandas one start yeah but if you factor in Erasmo then the 5th spot as a whole is definitely below.

I am onboard with giving him a look. If we saw the best of Leake last year and Felix isn't getting better then this team desperately needs another starter quick.

I would much rather give it to Reonis Elias than Matt Harvey it is so strange how you can come into the league and tear it up and make the playoffs and by 29 be a nobody getting injured as a pitcher can end you

I'm unsure how I feel about Harvey. Haven't done enough research as to why he has declined substantially. With how the starting pitching has been for us, anything looks like an upgrade at this point. Unsure if it's a drop in velocity, or what that is causing Harvey's issues. He used to be a hell of a pitcher, but that doesn't mean he will ever return to form.

Same... I'd rather give Elias the nod... Especially if we have to trade for Harvey... Our farm system is already weak... Why trade for a bad SP w/ a 7.00era?
