i would want to go for at least 4 starters in the top ten picks but ya get what you can.. where you can

and i would want to stock up with ..maybe 8 possible starters...that is a lot in a draft ...but it would go a long way
to helping the farm system with the starting pitching deficiency

my fav picks for mariners 1st round right now are

mike toglia ..ucla...1B/Rf

and george kirby..elon..RHP

one more thing to note

if they push up from the bottom it may take two more drafts..........but the quality would be there

question may be later to trade healey if white is comming up....but my bet is they both will be even better next year

and between now and two or three years they will be looking for a DH

that is only one 1b at every lvl...i would rather have at least two at every lvl..and the other guy could DH...or RF
or 3B...or whatever..cuz they seem a bit thin..at 1b

all the guys above are good though

yeah....also why i like toglia from UCLA to start off the next draft...he is Rf/1b...from gig harbor and highly rated

with the middle infield guys they got in the last draft...getting some corner guys would be good

yeah ........starting pitching as well ..god knows...lolololol

those are the two things to work on at this point...for mariners minors

another 1b guy that will be coming up out of HS point loma in san diego......they started him in the out field
but have recently switched him to 1B...but being out of HS he may be at aqua sox again next year
hard to say with the HS guys

while onel pena...from the dominican...is crashing and burning at this point at aqua sox and clinton....another dominican guy

danny contreras 6-3 L/L....seems a proto typical...1B guy..now at AZL
and
cash gladfelter 6-4...L/R....3b/1b( round 27 mariners 2018)from a div 2 school

Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania

it seems he is nooot quit ready...for the rookie lvl this year...but prob will be next
there does not seem to be any 1B excelling...at dominican summer so that would be it

to me...it seems..while the dominican and venezuelan guys get the opportunity...from a young age..they have six year's
after signed like a high school guy

more often than not it does not work out...or it is 4 years before they even make it to AZL....leaving only two years
to make it the rest of the way to mlb

something seems wrong with that...but i would not know how to fix it...a lot of teams have two..DSL teams
the mariners prob...could have used that before...but if they are a bit more frugel..with there draft picks and
signee's...they prob would not need it in the future...

overall ........quality would seem to be the theme

with the overall...rate of minor league guys making it to mlb only 10 pct

call ups from last year and before that at DSL..who are doing well

adonis de la cruz ..a relief guy in his 4th year at clinton and a prob move up next year..that is good
if they are not at AZL by there third year..it would be hard to see them making it to MLB....not impossible though

ariel sandoval..LF in his 5th year..at age 22.and he is just now getting good..with 18 Hr so far at clinton this year

a guy we should have seen at clinton.......... that has been on the disabled list all year....is andres torres
RHP..starter.....who will be in his 5th year next year...will prob be at clinton next year as well

all these guys seem to be on a good time line...cuz if you are not good enough after two years of DSL...then AAAAHHHH

erik espinal...relief...same as espino below..2nd year
elias espino..starter..came up this year..and has been doing well..we should see him at rookie next year..in 2nd year

feliberto bonilla at AZL and was at auqa sox...and prob will be again next year...in his 3 year

juan mercedes..RHP 6-2 just called up from DSL this year...nice..in his second year..

edwin Quezada RHP 6-5 in second year..at AZL

some of these guys could be ..the future for the mariners...and could be at aqaua sox next year
the mariners have even more good pitchers at DSL...who are doing well..and may be called up

chuck is a free agent that you would like to resign...and cuz he fits well with the organization and still would
if resigned...but ya cant do that without a rase in pay..so he would have to go to tacoma...to start with
and not be sent down unless he was doing poorly

tacoma potential OF guys...cuz ian miller could end up a free agent as well if not put on the 40 man...but we will go with who they have right now ..for a projection

ian miller LF..L/L
heredia...cf..R/R

________.RF....they do not have one right now..but he would need to be L/L

chuck taylor..S/R....in the heredia position...Cf/LF

dont really think falia is going to make it up this year ...and when he does...i think.. like voggy..he will be more of a DH

i would like franchy cordero..for RF.( and franchy is a guy who can play all three).but when has that not been true...lol
but i may be able to save some money on ..resigning mabyin then at least

or maybe not
