Madden 16 and other Maddens

I'm curious as to how the hardcore Madden people feel about the game. Ive stayed away from Madden for about 3 years and while I usually get one every couple of years, the WR catch animation thing has me worried that its just going to be deep ball heaven once people get the game down.

This is usually on sale for Black Friday so I can wait till then to make a judgment.

I really like it. Game play is really improved and penalties are finally called. Also the catch thing is nice but it isn't frequent

What, you don't like playing the exact same game over and over again? Im pretty sure 90% of the Madden budget goes into marketing at this point

You're probably right. EA's monopoly on sports video games has turned the genre to shit. Okay, NBA 2K is a much better product than NBA Live but at this point if you've owned one sports game you've owned them all. Owning a sports video game these days has come down to whether you want a roster update.

It is much different than previous Madden games.....Everyone who played previous Maddens and played this one would agree that this is much different. Gameplay is way better

I think so too. So far for me its harder than the recent games but that's a good thing.

Commentators say maybe 5 new lines!!!

Little easier navigation screens.

Graphics look better.

It's the only football game out there..(if ncaa football was still around I probably wouldn't bother with madden)

I think one reason NCAA dominated Madden IMO, was that College you recruited and it continued to be realistic the more years you put in because there were no real names and you could recruit your players.....Madden doesn't offer that....Maybe you can play 2-3 seasons, but then you start losing guys like Peyton Manning retire, etc....Then you're dealing with contracts and not recruiting.

I wonder if Madden has a feature where you can prevent players from aging or retiring and you can just play the same roster for 10 seasons without having to players retire and leave the league.

I am already half way through my first season and I don't know if I want to go into off-season and continue the franchise..I almost would rather just start over with another franchise. Meanwhile, in CFB I couldn't wait for off-season to recruit my own players.

This why I absolutely loved the Export/Import NCAA draft class feature the two games had. It added an extra layer of fun knowing I could draft and develop guys in the pros that I had recruited and played against in NCAA. I understand why EA dropped the NCAA games for legal reasons, but I have no idea why they won't allow customizable draft classes in Madden. The NBA 2k games have them and its a big plus. Like a week after the game is released, someone on the internet has created a detailed draft class file for multiple years and you're good to go.

I get it every year and have for a long time and I like this Madden. It's had a lot of bad games since the Ps2 days, but it's getting better. The deep ball isn't over powered and guys drop A TON of catch in traffic throws. If they get hit they drop it a lot of the time.

You can only beat me when I'm not in Fifa mode. Since the 25th I haven't played Fifa (outside you) and wont for awhile. It's Madden season.

Haven't bought madden in years. Was thinking of getting 2015 or Madden 25, but it sounds like 2016 is way better than the previous few years.

Keep it going fellas. Appreciate this thread - I was just starting to do research on which one to get!
