Mike Napo-swing and miss or pop up - le....,needs to go. I was preaching that last year, even the year before until he hit that one bomb off Verlander in the post season (which was huge, granted). But we kept him, and now he is 0 - for the season. I've never seen anybody swing and miss the "sweat" spot more than him...that is if he actually makes contact.

What a game tonight! Knuckler save us. Not just tonight but for the rest of the series. Yanks had NOBODY to go...we had this dude floating up dancers just eating up innings. He gave it up twice, but stayed in and eventually got the win. Saved our bullpin. Yanks are spent...and both teams have their fives going tomorrow. How long will they last?

Wright was going a few more inning last night. He was going to be optioned to AAA with Kelly starting tonight.

Not ready to give up on Nap yet. Season is way to early, and it's been crappy weather.

Napoli is starting to look old. Against the Nats today he got up bases loaded, no outs, pop out to second. Guy can't even get the ball out of the infield. Can't stretch and grab a low yhrow. He coughed one up today and Bogaerts got the error. When the going gets tough I don't think Napoli will betough enough.

Get rid of the beard Nap!

Right now his offense is non-extant but his defense is needed.

1. Stop overreacting to small sample sizes.
2. Napoli was one of the best players on the team in 2013 and 2014.

In 2013 and 2014 I could walk a mile. Today, I'm lucky if I can ealk from the Parking lot into the grocery store. We all get old and Napoli is not immune to aging. Some guys hit the wall in stages, others hit it full force.

Right now there are three major aging problems on the Red Sox.....Napoli, Victorino and Ortiz. The big problem is that the team has about $40M tied up in these geezers and they won't do anything until 2016.

I think the Red Sox need to move Napoli down in the line-up. Struggling mightily!

From their performances so far, the pitching staff is horrible. The relief pitching is worse than the starters. Sadly, the pitching this team has in the rotation can't get beyond the 6th inning and most are having trouble getting through 5. I know it's difficult to do anything once the season starts but John Henry should negotiate the entire staff out of their contracts and sign a bunch of Cape Cod League type pitchers. What the hell........why lose with a multi-million dollar pitching staff when you can lose with a minimum dollar staff that will at least put forth more effort.

Miley has been horrible but I think Porcello, Masterson, Kelly and Buchholz can turn it around. I would think even at such an early stage it would be time to make a move for Zimmerman, Hamels or another front of the rotation guy.
