64 million for four years - feels like a panic move in which Kupchak has resigned to not getting quality players and is settling for mediocrity at a high price just to move up in the standings. That's not a completely absurd idea in my opinion and this guy is a legit center that I am hoping can play some strong defense. With a 7 foot tall body and wide body span - he should be able to plug some holes and slow down the bleeding some

Maybe, but he wasn't too bad. I think Mozgov will be better on defense though and a little faster in a higher tempo game. Hibbert was a little slow to me

It's way to much, but I think you have to expect them to over-pay just to get average players.

You can not look at the money. The salary cap is double this year for all teams. Every free agent is going to get over paid. Whiteside will get a max contract based on only 1.5 years of play. I would have contacted Horford, but I think he wants to be on a contender. Next year the salaries will be more outrages.

It's a 50/50 revenue split with a huge tv deal. The players are getting their share now. Expect contracts to look like this for the foreseeable future.
