I'd stay on the side of being cautious and keep him out as long as necessary. From 2012-2014 he had an ERA of 3.07. That's good enough to make him a #1 on a lot of rotations, he's an excellent pitcher and we need to get him healed up.
Maybe we add Colon or Hamels?
Kuma hasn't been right since last August. An entire winter of rest did not fix him and I don't think another six weeks will either. I think the problem is worse than that. He is in his walk year so I don't blame him for wanting to pitch through the problems rather than go under the knife. But ultimately I think he is going to have to go under the knife anyway.Someone on the radio estimates that Kuma will be out at least 6 weeks.
