it was absolutely comical reading their game thread on their huzzah board. Crying about Puig. I love it

lol I doubt Philly fans have any right making fun of anybody for being "unclassy"

That's true, just because you are unclassy doesn't mean Philly fans should be making fun of you.

I just checked out the game. One thing I don't understand--I know Uggla has been a big disappointment and he has a horrific batting average and his fielding is subpar, but even with All that are they really starting Elliot Johnson at 2b. To be honest I wasn't even aware of his existence until I looked him up on baseball reference, but all I can say is WTF!? Am I missing something? He's basically Michael Martinez. And oh yeah, bonus he made an error that led to 4 runs tonight.....

None of us really get it either. I mean Uggla has been a HR hitter and low average guy entire career, it really should be that big of a surprise he has stats he does. At least Uggla has that HR power that we don't have no. Doesn't really make sense.

In a way it shows some balls. There is no way the Phillies GM would go for a playoff roster that left off a well liked, highly paid player that had a couple years left on his contract. The stupid part is that they had no replacement for him, so now they have a career backup player that can't hit in the lineup. If they lose it will be a long winter for Uggla and some of the other guys that probably wanted him there. If they were to win I think there might be some way they could have someone fake an injury and get him on the World Series roster if they wanted to, although I could be wrong.

I'd rather take Jonhson honestly. Plays decent defense and can at least put the bat on the ball occasionally, unlike Uggla.

I think they did it because they had flashbacks from Brooks Conrad making a few errors in the playoffs last time. There's no way in hell I'd have Johnson in there for his offense. (obviously he'll go 4-5 with a hr tonight)

I'd still go with Johnson. And yeah, Conrad did basically cost them that 2010 NLDS. Someone new every year.

Its been a pretty successful campaign so far. None of the infielders have gotten into shouting matches or tripped anyone rounding the bases after a home run and the fans didn't throw garbage all over the field after they didn't like a call by the umpires. Maybe they should pack it in now instead of trying to come back and win this one.

And like clockwork the joke braves are out, seeding means nothing with this team, they are the epitome of a perennial choke artist, I fucking love it because of how dumb their wagon fanbase is, wonder what the excuses will be this year???

I actually thought they had a chance this time just because all the "experts" kept saying a team that strikes out a lot can't win a short series. In my experience the experts are wrong a lot.

Also, fun fact about the NL East. The only team to win multiple WS titles in the last 30 years is also the only team to never win the division.
