Also, is it possible to hit him with a pitch or does the ball just go right through him?

I think we should test your theory out with a bullet.

Can he not catch up to an 88 mph cutter right down the middle of the plate? I've seen him be late on about four of them now..

casper wells looks like the type of guy who would aggressively try to sell you a mountain bike. "hey brah, how you doing? how awesome would you look in this thing brah? the chicks would be all over you while you pump that body brah. so what do you say? i know we can work a deal on this beauty brah."

The obvious question is what the hell is this guy still doing on this roster? But I can answer my own question just by reflected on the fact that brain-dead is still in charge.

I like the announcers' take at the beginning of the game when they were going through the lineup, which included Bernadina leading off. "Well, Sandberg needs to try some things out and see what he's got....." with guys like Bernadina and Wells. I'm pretty sure he knows what he has with those guys but if not, I'll help you out, Ryno. You've got a couple 28-30 year old career backup outfielders who were added to the roster because the hot shot GM is too scared to bring up some minor league outfielders because he either doesn't want to "ruin" anyone or he doesn't want to expose the fact that through bad management they have no one he believes is even close to major league ready. Sandberg is doing the only thing he can do-play out the string with these backups and pray like hell that the low priced, no power centerfielder Amaro acquired last year can come back from a broken leg with the same speed he had and hit the ball the way he did for a month or two while he was here.

Wells, McDonald, and Bernadina are warm bodies to play and check out before the expanded September roster goes in place. Logic makes one ask Why not bring up key players in August rather than wait? I have no idea except they want them to complete their season on the farm. Bernadina might stay as a bench player after evaluations are over. (He just made an excellent play in center moments ago.)

Revere hit over .300 May - July. It's a safe bet he'll return as a .300 hitter in the leadoff spot.

yeah, I wouldn't be upset if Bernadina won the roster spot previously held by Laynce Nix or something but right now I believe that their best chance at having a decent starting Centerfielder is to have Revere come back and hit .300 next year.

Yea, Franco is the next logical call-up but that is too much for brain-dead to process in a day!

Revere's main attribute is his speed. No one can predict if this injury will take away a step from his quickness. But let's also not forget he's an outfielder without a throwing arm.

His main attributes are hitting and speed and I think he's young enough to get thru the injury. The Phils gotta have him in the leadoff spot.
