Yea ... I read you right ... I just am not a fan of career numbers ... even cumulative WAR. But I see the comparison you were making and agree that with less than half the PT that Gentry out produces Murphy.

He's had a few moments but on the whole he's just been flat out bad. I don't think his PT will be greatly reduced but I am hoping something clicks and he figures out of his slump.

It's gotten to the point where I just laugh when Murphy fucks something up.... It's better than getting angry at him because it happens so frequently. If he does something productive I spit my drink out in disbelief, give him props, and hope it becomes a streak, but his quality at bats don't happen for an extended period of time.

Me neither but people keep trotting out Murphy's average as a justification for playing him, and outside of SLG% its still not all that favorable to Murphy
