Often, things are too telegraphed. I literally was not expecting what happened or the way it happened.

Yeh, I agree; I kinda meant it as a celebration of when a good horror movie does its job for someone. It's all subjective, but nice to see people get a little jolt now and then.

I wish i could say my heart's not in it anymore, but they've dropped their level for these shitty movies to the point where it's just, enter shark. i hope it's just a shark week thing, i'll still tune into a saturn moon getting out of orbit on a direct path to earth if they do it up right in the studio.

However, Frenzy was pretty good IMO.

If you like campy horror that is more comedy than scary....

Horror 101 fits the bill.

Plus, you get an older Bo Derek in the movie as a bonus.

Watched The Bye Bye Man:

Can't decide whether or not I liked it. Didn't suck.

Just started watching Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation (starring Renee Zellweger and Matthew McConaughey, fer cryin' out loud...how have I never heard of this gem??).

Any of you guys do any reviews on either of these?

Gotta say I was kinda surprised about Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation. Turned out to be a crazy-ass movie, with McConaughey making a star turn. The caliber of acting from him and everyone else (sorry, Renee) is off the charts, imo.

And The BoobMeter got a twitch. Not much of one, but it's been awhile.
