I've always believed that is a Pacific Time Zone thing.

Maybe. But imo it’s more than that now. Or it’s magnified even more now. PAC top teams in hoops and football are 4th or 5th best in the SEC and B1G.

Then there is the Big 12 and ACC too end schools too that are heads and tails above.

I would add Baseball too, thanks to the Beavers and the West Coast weather, the conference is better represented than in hoops and pigskin.

In a perfect scenario. Or far fetched dream scenario, those 4 get mercy invites to B1G. 9 teams in West, 9 teams in East. 8 game in division schedules with a B1G title game between two division winners.

The Pac could have been in way better shape if they weren't obsessed with demanding similar values from potential members. They've treated conference affiliation like the AAU or something. It's just sports...

Big 12 and Pac 10 should have merged when they had the chance and both would have been better off for it. Now the ACC, Big 10, and SEC have run away from us from a prestige standpoint.
