...if before the season started you thought the Rockies would be leading the NL West come May 1st. Ah, I'm not seeing any hands but I'll wait...O.K. I'm still not seeing any...hello, is anyone there.
The Rockies in 1st place, the Blue Jays in last place, Strasburg 1-4, the Rockies have a better staff ERA than either the Dodgers or Nationals...one of the beauties of baseball.

If only it could last... I love all the quirks that you just wrote and I like that Chacin is one of the ERA leaders. How strange is that? Baseball is so much more fun when your team is playing well- now they have to stop those horrendous errors on the basepaths. They probably would have won at least 2 more games without those mistakes.

Never imagined the scenarios you have mentioned, but I did expect the Rockies to be in the thick of things IF they got some good pitching. They have and the results speak for themselves.

I wonder when I am going to wake up from this dream and the pitching staff will resort to its usual level of ineptitude. Perhaps it is not a dream though and the pitchers are finally starting to catch up to their potential. That would be great!

It would be great and will result in O'Dowd / Geivett ( I still don't know who does what with those two ) likely having job security for life because the Monforts didn't have to fork out $Millions & $Millions for a pitcher or two.
