Maybe Harbaugh and Franklin could swap jobs.

It's pretty amazing. Michigan is the all time winningest Div 1 program, yet they have become irrelevant on the college football scene.

I mean he also was the only coach that made Kaepernick look like a good quarterback.
It was more of a gimmick offense and took a couple of years to figure it out.

I think this will be Harbaugh's last year. Unless he can beat Ohio State, there is no way he will come back.

They thought the same thing about Bo Pelini and Iowa. Nope, he got fired anyway.

BTW..... Bo Pelini >>>> Jim Harbaugh

Been saying it for a couple years now.

You are probably right. Bo had less to work with. But I am certain that Harbaugh is gone after this year.

He's been unable to attract a top flight QB since he's been at Michigan.

Pretty sure we were all told by our fellow Michigan pimps that Harbaugh is "The Quarterback Whisperer."

That's not what you said. You said "I think this will be Harbaugh's last year. Unless he can beat Ohio State"

Bo Pelini and many fans thought as long as he could beat Iowa in that last game he'd keep his job for another year. He did beat Iowa, but was fired the next day anyway.

Indeed Pelini didn't have near the recruiting classes Harbaugh has had. That being said makes it even clearer that.....

Wasn't Pelini basically fired because a slimy booster (or someone associated with the program) secretly taped him badmouthing Huskers fans?

If Harbaugh could beat Ohio State, I think he might survive. But I don't expect that to happen. Indiana might just be the toughest game Ohio State has left.

About michigan.....

honestly, I didn't have any idea after carr left that they'd be floundering for sooooo freaking long. It was fun to make fun of the program for quite some time, but its getting old............. what am I saying......... no its not. :pound::dhd:.

I sure hope Wisconsin doesn't cancel the game this weekend, as I'd sure be disappointed for michigan if they'd miss out on another loss.....

Harbaugh. I think he's finally worn out his welcome. he still has defenders, but they are dwindling fast.

michigan had 13 yards rushing in the entire game Saturday. 2 turnovers.

That added to it. As did his on field antics.

However, Pelini was fired because he couldn't win big games. His record vs teams that finished the season with 8 or less wins was acceptable, but his record against teams with 9 or more wins was terrible. I'd posted a list a few years ago outlining the 7 year stats. I'll see if I can find it later.

There were a lot of defensive records that fell under Pelini. Some dating all the way back to the Jennings era of the 1950's. Most yards, Most points, etc.

Yeah.

HUGE difference between Michigan/Ohio St and Nebraska/Iowa.

Iowa was not even considered a rival by Nebraskan's, but it was his 9th win and (at least) 9 wins was a standard set by Tom Osborne. The difference in that was they didn't play 13 games (12 + bowl) a season back in the 70's, 80's, 90's.

9 wins these days = Irrelevant. 10 is the new standard unless you're tejas. A 9 win tejas team gets ranked in the Top 15.

1) Nobody underachieves like tejas. NOBODY!!!!
2) Bo Pelini >>>> Jim Harbaugh

Choosing the wrong coaches set you back. As a Texas fan, I understand how it goes. Plus I know everyone says that all schools are dirty when it comes to recruiting but Michigan is one of the very few that is on the up and up. Harbaugh is too stubborn to ever take that next step. Gotta up the ante with the next coach.. I think Campbell would be a good candidate but I'm weary of his recruiting chops.

well. after having slumber parties - the next step would probably turn him into Sandusky.
