Commanders is such a crappy name and it really has had a negative effect on the trash talk within the NFC East.
It's hard as a Dallas fan to rip on Washington when many of you guys already hate the name and call them the Commodes as it is. Like you know how you guys call us the Cowgirls? Imagine if Jerry Jones changed our team's name to the Ranchers or the Stars. Absolutely lame.

If Harris changes the name to Warriors and goes back to the old uniforms but keeps the "W" helmets that would be huge. Tampa changed back. Hopefully we can too.

the last i heard is that name change will be discussed next season but like you said the NFL has a 5-year rule. I think we can go back to our old jerseys next year. I don't think there is a rule for that but i could be wrong.

There is the whole line of "Red-something": redhawks, red wolves, redhogs, red knights, redclaws, redtails, etc.

If the new FO insists that it has to be military, related, how about the Washington Arsenal, the Washington Warthogs or the Washington Talons?

Then there is the obvious choice of Warriors. Could use The old spear helmet, or even the same Commanders helmet with the W.

Warriors with the W helmet and the old unis would be my choice. They wanted to be military related that is why they got Commanders.

the name change was a failure because they lied to the fans saying they would get the chance to be involved . it was a lie from day one as RR said he wanted a military name. and lo and behold a name that wasnt in contention turns out to be it . now i will admit changing it from redskins most likely will keep me from ever being as passionate about the team as i was . it was unnecessary and was done because snyder compromised himself you cant erase history . now we will see what comes of it
