Because elite pitchers own the game. And nearly every team has one really good pitcher, who you are likely to face in any four game series.

That's a pretty good reason too.

We got one back (no shutdown inning) and Samardzja is at almost 50 pitches after 2. We're gonna win today.

I'm curious about the behavior of prices for premium club seats. Most of the tickets available for purchase via stubhub seem to go unsold. The prices change very little right up to the point the game starts. A few percent change is all I have observed. Once the game starts, stubhub no longer offers that game's ticket for sale. Surely few, if any, of the tickets open for sale an hour before game time are ever sold, judging from the open seats visible on TV.

So why aren't the owners of these seats dropping their prices as game time approaches? Is there seat owner peer pressure to keep the riff-raff bargain hunters out? Can they not "officially" be resold below face value?

Tron simply doesn't have it today. That single to Smeklluwliuroiey was the death knell. This one's about over.

Welp, looks like a bullpen game...I like our chances.

So the Giants will either Win or Lose today.....got it.....

:heh:

Why not cover all your bases and call for a rainout before 5 official innings???

Nope. And the dreaded 6-7-8 due up in the second...I just want to NOT see Tron leading off the third...

Bottom of the order came through, top of the order choked (except for Nate).

That *used* to be the rule, back when the Giants ran the ticket resale - you could NOT re-sell for less than the original price. In fact, you couldn't resell for less than "orig ticket price + Giants 10% fee". Since MLB took over (and awarded sales to stubhub), I'm not sure if that is still the rule or not.
