hmmmm...I think it could be a big big win and I think the Flyers first goal will be scored by....

Brayden Schenn from G and Ghost.

6 years ago the Flyers played away games in Tampa and Carolina IIRC right after Christmas. We incredibly managed to win both and I remember pinpointing those two games as the exact turnaround for that season. The rest is history. Now we are in a much better position than that team was, but I'd love to see the little break just feed into a total rebirth for our season.

Exactly, this team is in a better spot now but more than anything, they just need to keep playing well as a team and keep winning some games and growing as a team

This Anaheim team has scored 11 goals in the month of December. We've scored 29. Yes, we've played a couple more games, but that's still an enormous difference. With all due respect, we should win this game handily. Perhaps this is the night we finally spank someone by 4 or 5.

Regardless, their confidence is completely shattered and ours is beginning to soar. These are the games we need to win 90% of the time.

The last thing this team needs to do is be too high and think too highly of theirselves - they need to play them hard but not take them for granted - they're a wounded team but they can get going at any point so hopefully that doesn't start tonight

Of course it's a bit of a fresh start for everyone now after the Christmas break, but if we keep it rolling and lay it on them early, they will fold like a cheap tent.

By no means am I saying that we should be overconfident, but if both teams give their best, we should come out way ahead here.

Oh sure, if they keep rolling they can have the success they've had in recent weeks

All I'm saying is they shouldn't feel overconfident and rest on their laurels - establish the hard work and positive results will come to them over time

Any team can beat you on any given night and that is the approach you have to take as a player in the Nhl, but from the perspective of a fan, we should absolutely win this game.

I expect nothing less from a team that I follow very closely.

I'm sure our boys are more than aware that the Ducks just took the Rangers to OT, plus beat NJ, Pitt and San Jose all this month. They do appear to be able to have a strong performance in net and defensively from time to time.

That said, I want this win and if we come out hungry for it, there is a high chance of us going home with two points.

Looks like this one is going to be chippy.

Is Ghost getting 2 minutes of PP time now?

Of course Getzlaf gets his first non-empty net goal of the season

Ugh... too much time in the zone.
Gotta kill of the rest of the PP and get some Offensive zone time.
