DeMarcus Ware and Von Miller are going to obliterate poor Stafford. If he plays.

I actually think we have a pretty good shot of beating Denver this upcoming week.....

Just heard 3rd stringer Ricky Stanzi will be active this weekend. Looking more like Stafford won't play. I feel bad for him.

Be careful what you wish for. This was the guy Mayhew really wanted:

Lamar Miller rushed seven times for 38 yards in Miami's Week 3 loss to the Bills, catching 3-of-3 targets for an additional 27 yards.

Miller averaged 5.4 yards per carry, but formerly run-committed OC Bill Lazor continued his early-season abandonment of the running game. The low point came early in the fourth quarter, where Miller set the Dolphins up with 1st-and-goal from the two with an eight-yard run. Lazier then proceeded to dial up four passes, all of which fell incomplete. It was a baffling sequence on a baffling day. We know Miller is going to get a bigger role at some point, but it's hard to know when the light might switch on for the poorly-coached Dolphins. He'll be a low-end RB2 for next week's London matchup with the Jets' stout run defense.

Even Jim Harbaugh has two wins already, agree against lesser talent but there's something to be said about coaching. Like to see that team in a few years with talent.

Great coaching isn't about having the best players but about getting the best from the players you have. It's as much finding new talent as finding the talents your team has to work with, making your scheme use all those square pegs instead of scratching your head why they don't work in round holes.

I'm all right with Caldwell's philosophical stance on player character. He needs to work on mentoring his coaching staff to leverage the best of what this team can do. Otherwise, the Lions will perform a Peter Principle outcome of exceeding expectations one year, rising above their real value and sneaking into the playoffs via a soft schedule, then being slapped back in place by a more competitive schedule the next year.

This cycle needs to end.

Belicheck anyone?
He consistently gets the most out of mediocre talent. Most of us couldn't name one interior O-lineman on their roster. Yet Brady throws for 300+ yards with ease.

Plan is to hand the paperwork over to Old Lady Ford on Tuesday.

Don't miss your chance to be part of the solution gentlemen.

I could, but I am also a Patriots fan so...

He should be gone after week 5. Even the route trees in his scheme are terrible. WRs end up right next to each other almost every plays. DBs not even covering the intended WR are making plays on the ball.

Caldwell will eventually take over play calling duties. Remember how much they liked him in Baltimore?

Hoping they just bring someone in mid season so we do not have to worry about experimenting with him next year.

They won't implement an outsiders offense mid season. It'll be Caldwell or someone from within like the QB coach or WR coach gets promoted.

Hopefully Ford Jr. has set an ultimatum, and all of this will be over as seasons end.

I doubt Jim Bob Pootytang is going to be named OC. That would be the facepalm heard round the world.

Tate is best in space. I've seen two catches this year where he had room to run or make a move. Whether it be zone or man. Joe's seems to have made changes for the worst after watching film from last year.
