Dipoto is catering to the Mariner fanbase... 54% win % is mediocrity... Mediocrity makes the owners quite a bit of money because the fans continue to flood the stadium while supporting their TV networks and swag... Until the fans start pushing back, the Mariners will never change their philosophy imo... Gotta stop attending the games and stop putting revenue into their assets... This fanbase continues to pour revenue up their asses...

What has been proven is that you have to be competitive tome profit, but you don't have to be a realistic contender of a championship to be highly profitable. The fans are to blame there. No fan strike all those years they failed. No fan strike when they brought in Wong, La Stella, Hummel, and Pollard and told us they were the answer. No fan strike when they sold our closer (who is in the next round now) for 2 utility players when we already had a handful of utility players. 2.6M people backed these jackasses and lined their pockets once again. So a winning performance (based on your definition of that) isn't required in Seattle to make billionaires millions.

If money is apart of his job responsibilities then the ownership group is wasting millions of dollars for Catie Griggs and her whole team. I finally got a chance to listen to Brock and Salk (I think that's there names) interview and I have one critique about them that they didn't ask which I will get too, but I thought they did a good job.

On to Jerry...First, if I hear him apologize and say he's embarrassed one more time I'm going to puke.
Telling us to be patience just pisses the fanbase off more and actually puts a bigger target on his back.
Saying they took a step forward is a disgrace and I don't care what he said. Wins is all that matters and they won less games and missed the post season.
If he knew this team wasn't complete than should have made better trades at the deadline and not give away our closer for a pile of shit, or better yet pick up a quality FA or 2 during the offseason could have put the team in a better spot.
No one gives a shit about this 54% winning over a decade. Fucking stupid comment.
Adding a mega star or 2 superstars to the team may or may not work out is half true but you have to spend money to actually get one. We'll see if that happens.
Bullshit he didn't call Cal and told him he was way off base. Same with Kirby. Those apologies came the next day or two.
Overall, listening to his spewing bullshit pissed me off.

The one question Brock and Salk should have asked is why Scott hasn't been let go for the failures of this teams regression.
