Sounds like you are throwing the baby out with the bath water. The AD is new, the lacrosse, basketball or any of the other teams appears to have nothing to do with this situation so why should they be punished by being shut down as you suggested?

Do not confuse my position with defending the football program, again if the allegations are correct. A kid died and he may not have received the proper treatment. That is unforgivable and people should pay the price for that. But that does not mean innocents should pay a big price too.

The women's golf team and men's tennis team didn't at Baylor either. Unfortunately, everyone gets painted with the same brush when all this type shit happens

But when someone goes down in a heat environment the first thing you do is plug them.

Ask any military person, the silver bullet as we joke, but the fact they admitted they didn’t get a tempature. They didn’t even bother to take a rectal tempature to determine his status. That is shit medical work right there. I’ve seen 106 in person and the guy can bounce back a week later as long as you identify and treat immediately.

Check the temp then get them submerged and an IV. Shit, shit medical staff there.

After conducting an internal investigation the the university admitted that they were responsible for the player's death. That's pretty bold for a school that will no doubt be facing a law suit from the family.

I am proud of my school. Unlike Penn State where the MO was to cover their asses Maryland owned up to it very quickly and they are in the process of of taking corrective actions. The head coach is done, as he should be. They are simply working out a way to fire him without a big payout.
