Documentary Recommendations

Currently I have Netflix, HBO and On Demand services with Xfinity so I can stream anything from there, but if you know of something on another medium I could be open to getting a subscription to another service.

On Netflix I watched the Ted Bundy series and thought it was really well done, now starting the series they have on the Vietnam War.

I'm open to pretty much anything. I miss the good old days back when the History Channel pumped out really great stuff.

The Fyre docs (both Hulu and Netflix have one) are alright. Making a Murderer is VERY slanted, and if you want the whole truth you will need to do your own research, but as far as entertainment goes, it was good.

The Men Who Built America is excellent. But it is on Amazon.
American Genius. It was on Netflix, not sure if it still is. It is a docuseries that I thought was really good.
The Ultimate Guide to the Presidents. It was also on Netlfix, not sure if it is any more. Also a docuseries.

Not sure if those are really your cup of tea, but I really enjoy that stuff so I always pass it along..

Never really liked Ken Burns stuff though.

For a Husky like you I would recommend the Ted Bundy series on Netflix. It represents UW very well.

If you are a fan of behavioral sciences/social studies (Anthropology, Sociology, Psychology), you should enjoy Morgan Freeman's The Story of God from The National Geographic Channel.

Season 1 was 6 episodes and Season 2 was 3 episodes. The third season will air soon.

I'm not sure what services stream this series.

All you have to do is google it and watch on you tube.

As far as current Oscar Noms go: Hale County This Morning, This Evening will be airing on PBS this upcoming Monday (11th) as part of their independent lens series.

minding the gap is streaming on hulu, as for another oscar doc i believe RBG is as well.

three identical strangers was a trip, you might be able to find that somewhere.

tickled is also a newer doc available on HBO now that was really weird.

i'd do more, but i had a previous warning on this subject.
