I myself, think I will have a big bowl of Skyline Chili!

As an olde pfart, I only eat 2 meals a day. That's usually breakfast about noon, and dinner. I used to enjoy lunch, but after retirement it get to be too much. Lunch tended to be carb heavy and too full of processed food, bad for my health.

The cats, though, get three meals a day, breakfast about 11, lunch at 4:30, and dinner about 10.

When summer arrives, the GF will start kayaking early, and I'll go out to the Jewish deli for a pastrami sandwich on caraway rye with brown deli mustard, Swiss cheese and a slice of tomato. I'll bring it home and sit out on the deck, watching the shore birds and drinking a cold craft beer.

Me too, but on weekends that shifts to lunch and dinner quite often. If only I could cut back on the late night snacking lol.

Not retired though, have at least another decade to go (and probably beyond).

No shit. I grew up in New York and then moved to Massachusetts so I always had pastrami around for 70 years. I was shocked to find that supermarkets and sandwich shops don't have it. When Rosenfeld's opened up 20 minutes away, I was thrilled, as their other places were 40 minutes away.

I can get "Karen" pasrami at Publix.
It is low fat made from sirloin tip. - tastes like roast beef - because it is roast beef, not Pasrami!

I mean in all fairness you'd have leftovers for the better portion of a year.... given some people struggling in the economy with food bills, I could see it.... family sacrifice for sure but I get it...
