They should, yes.
Will they? We'll see.
Will they? We'll see.
If Stanford needs motivation for this game, they are already defeated.
I think it's good that DAT sets goals for himself. What if this statement inspired DAT because of everyone's reaction to it?
Beyond Mariota, DAT will be the best player on that field. At his best, Stanford won't be able to slow him down.
DAT and Oregon will be smiling at the end of the game when they have more points than Stanford. Doesn't much matter what the actual point totals are.
De'Anthony Thomas: Oregon 'should at least put up 40' on Stanford - CBSSports.com
Did he pull the football equivalent of calling the shot? I dont know if pissing off opposing defenses is a good thing. Maybe we should ask Bo Wallace if he still thinks Ole Miss can score on anyone. Its never a good idea to open your mouth and give the team yet another reason to get hyped up and this, to me, is a big sign of disrespect and may just come back to haunt Oregon.
And yes, I used the waterboy reference on purpose.

You and FSU fans are really pulling for Stanford this weekend, I can feel it. Cuz some where deep down inside, I smell fear from a bama fan. Oregon is the last team they want to face in the CCG. It isin't disrespect at all, it's confidence in his team to win a game. Plain and simple. Go Utes
You know what happens when a tree gets mad?
Nothin.........

Have you seen any threads devoted to the demise of Oregon by an FSU fan on here? Nope. THis makes you a horrible clairvoyant. Do not quit your day job.
So I'm horrible so what geesh! If i quit my day job, you sir, would'nt be able to live off of food stamps.
whats wrong with the kid being confident about his team? No difference had he not said it, but just thought it. This will have no affect on the game.
Bo Wallace thought his team could score on anyone, but his words changed likely changed that outcome. They rpobably would not have won the game, but Bama would not have gone lights out to the end to stop them from scoring. funny how just the right little thing can supercharge a situation into being a difference in a game. Just one tiny little word or set of words that shows immense disrespect(such as this surely did to the Stanford defense) can be all it takes to make this a closer game. This was not a smart move on his part, but this is just one man's opinion.
What makes you think what Bo Wallace said changed the outcome of the game? How did his comments affect the game? They were trying to hard too score? Bama was trying harder to stop them? Or it was just a distraction that he had to hear about that affected how they prepared?
I don't see how that comment will have an effect on the game whatsoever. I really don't think there is any evidence that shows these comments affect the game.
I can tell you that the Ole Miss coach forced three or four 4th down calls trying to score to back up Bo's claim. I can tell you that Saban left the defense in tact for almost the entire game to stop them from scoring and pulled out all the stops to ensure it. I was told by a source on the team that it was known among the players and staff that if they did score, Saban was not going to be pleased and it would be felt in future practices. He wanted his team to make a statement, and they did, Ole miss cannot score on anyone, just teams not named Alabama. And so far that has held true.
