Thomas in redraft, Landry in dynasty just because of the age gap.

Age be damned, I'm going with Demaryius. He hasn't had a real QB in 3 years since Manning retired. He at least gets an upgrade with Keenum.

Meanwhile Landry goes from a main target in Miami to a team seemingly muddied with potential yet trying to find their identity.

I think I like Demaryius situation better because we know where he ranks on the Broncos. And even if this is dynasty, he still may have 3 or 4 years in the tank.

I would take DT, but only by the thinnest of margins in a dynasty. Once it becomes apparent that the offense won't be funneled through Landry in Clev., his value goes down the crapper, even if he does have DT by a significant margin in age and years left

Much like some others, for this yr I like DT better by a pretty sizable margin. As for the future, both have question marks. Landry could carve out a nice role in CLE or maybe not. Word is that DEN will be cutting bait on DT and/or Sanders next season (cap). If that is the case then landing spot will determine DT's longer term value. With that said, if this is a ppr dynasty league the 'safer' bet is probably Landry (just because of age and his future is a bit less cloudy due to his contract).

id rather have Thomas...even for a rebuilding team... but I am not big on Landry...

One thing about being a rebuilding team, you want SOME veterans on your team with good name value... Reason why, during the season you can trade them for something MORE than you can during the preseason(assuming some success)...

Really, I think it is a mistake for a rebuilding team to make their trades during the preseason, unless they are not comfortable with their veterans... I just think you can get so much more during the season... Sure it is a gamble that your veteran player is doing well, but players with elite name value have a longer leash in fantasy owner eyes...

Landry is all about Landry. You can have him.

DT knows and understands the "TEAM" concept and more willing to be part of a team.

End of story.......

Great question.

With the move to the Browns I have an arrow moving Landry down to right below Demaryius on my rough list.

Their ceilings and floors are similar. You don't want a slot WR that only gets average work and you don't want a #1 on a team that can't pass or score.

On the other side, Keenum's average-ish play could enable Demaryius to reach back into the top 10. Jarvis and Tyrod could have some real chemistry and he ends up as the real #1 there with Gordon as more of a big play guy. If the Browns still lose a lot, that's even more catches for Landry.

I'm gonna call myself undecided, but lean Demaryius.

Now to answer a slightly different question than you are posing I think Demaryius is more likely to be overdrafted and Landry underdrafted come draft time.

DT

there will be more slot guys coming into the league, not as many true WR1s, and DT is one of them still. Also should still have enough left in the tank for 2-3 more good years, regardless of team/situation.

id completely agree there, in a redraft Landry much more likely to return plus value vs draft day investment

Was actually thinking the opposite. Seems like Landry in a new city has fantasy owners more excited than an old shoe in the same ole same ole.

It's the Browns.
The Cleveland Browns.

People won't pull the trigger.

But people are high on the Browns this season. It’s weird.

The Browns have tons of stink on them. Just think their last two best fantasy players were Trent Richardson and bonged up Josh Gordon.

I'm not gonna throw it to Duke as much if Jarvis is just sitting there wide open 8 yards downfield.

Agree w/ you 1000%. But that's not the vibe I'm getting from the majority of the fantasy universe.

I'm expecting it settles. Only like ten percent of the fantasy public is engaged right now. These people are "there's no offseason" type people and extra high on offseason moves. We're in the post-FA bubble still. Watch a Gordon preseason highlight take wind out of the sails. Or a "Tyrod and Jarvis not on same page" report in camp.

Who is Demarious Thomas?

I would take Demaryius Thomas over both.
